LOVE
Love is being together, some times forever...
Love is kisses, love is hugs!!
Love can make you cry, it may even make you spy...
Love is very complicated and also very kind...
so if you find it hold it tight...don't let it go...
and every now and then....give it a hug.

I wrote this in 6th grade (believe it or not haha)
this poem was published in "the windows on the world vol 2" I wasn't able to buy this book at my age (go figure), but submited it to the publisher at that age and it was published!! it is no longer being published no new books made at this time but if any one know how to get it ...let me know!
I have loved this poem my whole life it means a lot to me and I still think....yeah thats what you should do!!
Merry Christmas Love all
You are a great mom to listen to your child. I ftm and am 39 years old. I recently started taking "t" though have known since about 2 what I really was. My parents told me recently that I should have come to them and told them earlier in life. They are VERY accepting of my transition BUT in my opinion I was the kid and they were the parents. I do not believe I should have been the one to have to go to them. You have allowed yourself though it could not have been easy to make sure the line of communication was open for your child. I just wanted to commend you on your attitude and your parenting. R.J.
ReplyDeleteraeja, i know with my own child the hints were very subtle, things like being embarresed but not unhappy that a great grandmother confused the boy as girl. The empathy with women and contempt for men who denigrate women in speech or action esp the "look at her tits" brigade. an early tantrum over her sister getting lots more things for school "just because shes a girl".
ReplyDeletethat is pretty much it until about 18yrs old then i did notice a few things but still nothing twigged till she told me.I felt dreadfull that i missed it,and that part as a mother is hard to think about.so please dont be too hard on your mum :)
these things were subtle and my boychild never acted girly, quite the opposite.
